Finance Ministry

Mission:
The mission of the Finance Ministry is to support and service the members and ministries of Israel Baptist Church, to be obedient to God's will for the purpose of achieving the financial goal "vision" of Israel Baptist Church through prayer and financial contributions.

Purpose:
The Finance Ministry has the fiduciary responsibility to collect and record church financial contributions including weekly general offerings, special offerings and other income. We provide servants to assist other Church ministries who count, record and provide record keeping of member donations in order to ensure the vision of our Church is in order and consistent with the planned activities. We communicate the financial position of the church to the appointed Church leaders weekly.

Vision:
Our vision is to have 4 teams of 5 members each rotating monthly. We will continue to recruit from within the Church family consistent, faithful, available and teachable disciples.

We envision working with the Economic Development ministry and the E-Givers ministry to assist with on-going E-Giver recruiting efforts.

The focus of the church is on the call of Christ to be faithful in making disciples and being in mission to others. That call cannot be accomplished without healthy financing. We must remember that the main reason for giving is not to maintain the church as an institution. The reason for giving is to meet the need of the giver to share what God has given in order to grow in faith and thereby help the church fulfill its sacred mission. Giving is a spiritual matter and reflects our commitment to Jesus Christ.
