YOUTH MINISTRY

   Mission:
  • To reach out to unsaved youth and compel them to come to Christ
  • To encourage spiritual growth in all youth through prayer, fellowship, praise, worship, and Bible study
  • To minister to the social, cultural, and physical needs of all youth
   
  Vision: The youth of IBC will be nurtured spiritually to become Christian disciples who exhibit the fruit of the spirit. They will minister to the saved and unsaved using their spiritual gifts. Train up a child in the way he should go. (PROV 22:6)

Our Philosophy:
The Philosophy of the Israel Baptist Church Youth Ministry is:
The structure and program of the Youth Ministry is based on the African proverb, “It takes a whole village to raise a child”. We strongly believe that every individual and ministry of Israel Baptist Church has a responsibility to support the youth. Everyone has something to offer that will enable us to successfully achieve our mission and ultimately the vision of the ministry and Israel Baptist Church.
Our Goals:
  • To grow in spiritual knowledge, faith, and holiness
  • To discover and exercise our spiritual gifts
  • To fellowship with other ministries inside and outside of Israel Baptist Church
  • To reach out to non-believers through missions and evangelism
  • To honor God with our lives

Youth Ministry Focus & Initiatives:
  • Increase the number of active members by 200
  • Increase the Parent/Guardian engagement by 10 new participants
  • Develop a missions & evangelism component to the Youth Ministry that serves at least once a month
  • Increase the fellowship with IBC ministries, such as, Marriage, Men�s, Women�s, Singles� and Senior Citizens�
  • Increase the fellowship with youth ministries across Baltimore City
  • Increase the Youth Ministry�s financial contribution to the Israel Baptist Church
  • Increase the Youth participation in corollary ministries like Dance, Music, Fellowship, Step, Deaf and Media
  • Launch and maintain a mentoring program in collaboration with the Men & Women Ministries
  • Launch and maintain a youth discipleship program with support from the Christian Education Ministry
  • Develop an IBC Youth Leadership Council that consists of leaders from all ministries and youth
